SAVE THE DATE: On Saturday May 12, the American Red Cross is hosting the 2012 A Salute to Service Gala which will pay homage to the service of the U.S.’s military and their families. Admiral Mike Muller and his wife Deborah will be in attendance.

The night will feature dinner, entertainment from 4Troops and Mezzo Soprano Denyce Graves, as well as live and silent auctions. This year, the gala will hold a special presentation honoring military heroes. Members from the National Capital Region of the American Red Cross will be honored and presented with “Excellence in Service” Awards. The honors will be presented by Kay Kapoor, managing director of US Federal Practice for Accenture and Gala Chair.

The Tiffany Circle Distinguished Woman Warrior Recipient will be presented to Danielle Green-Byrd.

Lieutenant General Russel Honoré will serve as emcee and Colonel Gregory Gadson will serve as a special guest presenter.
