Salient Federal Solutions Inc. yesterday announced its award of a prime IDIQ contract supporting Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). This multiple award contract is a one-year contract with four one-year option periods with an anticipated ceiling of $140 million. The IT Infrastructure Operations Services and Support, or ITIOSS, program provides infrastructure operations and maintenance and development, modernization, and enhancement support to PBGC.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to build upon our existing partnership to include the IT infrastructure to design and deliver a modernized IT program,” says Bill Parker, COO of Salient. “Our team combines the PBGC knowledge and service management proficiency to achieve ITIOSS mission success.”

This contract calls on Salient to respond to task order requests to modernize, consolidate and simplify PBGC’s IT infrastructure to improve and reduce costs. The company will also provide PBGC with the capability to install, operate, and maintain IT hardware and software components, and the expertise to identify, implement, and manage the most effective and efficient application of technology to meet PBGC’s mission requirements.

This work will be performed under Salient’s Federal Mission Software Solutions Business Unit.
