    Matt McQueen, Chief Communication Officer at Peraton

    Matt McQueen serves as the Chief Communication Officer at Peraton.

    Prior to his current position, he served as Director of Global Strategic and External Communications for Northrop Grumman’s former Information Systems sector.  In this capacity he acted as the primary spokesperson and communications liaison to the sector’s external stakeholders.  He was responsible for the sector’s integrated strategic communications campaigns, content strategy, and global media relations.

    Previously, Matt served as the corporation’s government relations lead for all state and local activities, as well as representing Northrop Grumman’s civilian agency, tax, and environmental legislative issues to the United States Congress.  Prior to his appointment to corporate Government Relations, Matt spent over a decade with the company’s former Information Systems sector where he was most recently Director, Government and Industry Relations, within its Washington Operations organization.  In this role, he was responsible for leading all government relations activities in support of the sector’s civilian agencies and state and local government businesses.  Prior to that assignment, he held positions of increasing responsibility in business development, strategic planning, and market development within Northrop Grumman’s Commercial, State and Local group and Civilian Agencies group, each of which had more than $1B in annual revenue.  He began his career as an international policy analyst for Bank Austria in Vienna, Austria.

    Matt earned a BA in International Relations from the College of Wooster and a master’s degree in Organizational Science and Management from The George Washington University where he was a Graduate Fellow in Organizational Management, specializing in crisis communications and international marketing. 

    He has been active in local and national politics for more than fifteen years, advising many campaigns on domestic and regional policy issues and constituent messaging.  In 2009 and 2013, he received gubernatorial appointments to serve as the Consumer Representative to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Motor Vehicle Dealer Board.  He is a 2011 graduate of Lead Virginia and serves on the board of directors of many industry and community organizations, including: Lead Virginia, George Mason University Honors College, Computer CORE, the Workhouse Arts Foundation, the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, NOVABizPAC, the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s TechPAC, the California VetFund Foundation, and The Cashel Group.

    Alan Hill, Serco, Inc.

    Alan Hill has more than twenty-five years of experience in implementing integrated communications campaigns and developing image-branding strategies.

    Hill is Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Government Relations at Serco. Hill manages the Company’s external and internal communications, and executes programs that enhance the Company’s brand and reputation. He oversees media relations, marketing communications, government relations, employee communications, and community support activities. In 2002, Hill established SI International’s investor relations department during the Company’s initial public offering (IPO). He interfaced directly with the Company’s stockholders, the investment community, and financial analysts.

    Prior to joining Serco, Hill was Director of Public Relations for Intermedia Communications, where he served as company spokesman for one of the nation’s fastest growing telecommunications companies during its $4 billion merger. Hill also held management positions in public relations and business marketing communications at Bell Atlantic before, during, and after its merger with NYNEX. At Bell Atlantic, he received the “Leadership for Excellence” award and was selected to the company’s “Leadership for the Millennium” program.

    Before Bell Atlantic, Hill worked for a U.S. Senator in various senior-level communications positions, including National Director in the Senate Office, Director at a Senatorial Committee, and Deputy Campaign Manager. In these roles, he created over 2,200 theme-oriented media events across the country that supported the Senator’s key policy initiatives and campaigns.

    Over the years, Hill has won numerous awards in corporate communications. Hill holds a bachelor of business administration degree in business management from Texas A&M University.
